We’re Gina and Jess—best friends, book lovers, cocktail connoisseurs, and two women balancing careers, motherhood, our better halves, and a serious obsession with, romance and spicy reads. Jess teaches by day, while Gina runs multiple businesses, and between us we have five amazing kids, three partners (I'll leave that to your imagination), a few family pets, and TBR piles that seem to grow faster than we can read.

Booked and Bound was sparked—like all great ideas—on the toilet. A casual chat turned into a dream: to create something bold and exciting for readers like us. We're talking romantasy, spice, morally gray characters, taboo tropes, and dark, delicious fiction—genres that are wildly popular online but tough to find in New Zealand bookstores.

Launching October 2025, Booked and Bound is our way of putting those irresistible reads into the hands of fellow Kiwi romance lovers. With the backing of our wonderful partners (who patiently put up with our book hoarding, late-night brainstorming and being actively ignored while we read about fictional men), we’re bringing you a bi-monthly romance box filled with stories that push boundaries and deserve a permanent spot on your shelf.
